A Little Bit About Me

Thank you for taking a few moments to learn about my zeal for a position in City Council for Maplewood, Ward 1. Here is a bit more about me and why I believe I am a great fit for this position:

I am currently very involved in Maplewood government, business, and non-profit circles. I can relate to the large portion of the population of Maplewood that has moved in town in the past ten years. I have great respect for the tradition and history of Maplewood and its citizens. Desiring to serve the people who elect me, I will be active in keeping lines of communication open. I am a creative person with fresh ideas and perspectives, and I have the vision and capacity to continue leading today’s Maplewood into tomorrow.

My 3 top priorities for City Council are:
  1. To increase the growth of community-mindedness and open communication between residents, businesses, and Maplewood officials, resulting in better solutions to problems and creation of appropriate forward-looking objectives for the future.
  2. To serve those in need in our community and encourage the further success of new and existing businesses, both large and small.
  3. To lead Maplewood in continuing to be a model for fiscal responsibility, a haven for unique businesses, and a great place to live.
I believe I am qualified for City Council for several reasons:
My wife and I have been homeowners in Maplewood for 6 years, I have been a business owner in Maplewood for 2 years, and I serve on multiple boards and volunteer organizations in Maplewood. Here are a few highlights of my experience:

• Owner and Head Photographer - Studio Altius in Maplewood
• Board Member - Maplewood Design & Review Board
• Member - Maplewood Chamber of Commerce
• Member - Maplewood Art Committee
• Chairman of the Board - Lay Renewal Ministries in Maplewood
• Former Member – Maplewood Athletic Association Board of Directors
• Former Executive Director of Sports Impact
• Former Player and College Basketball Coach - Washington University in St. Louis
• Graduate of Washington University in St. Louis

Thanks for your support! I look forward to serving this wonderful community! Make sure to mark your calendars for APRIL 7th and go VOTE!
